Death Stranding

Death Stranding: Motorbike, Traversal Tools, Music by Apocalyptica, and More Revealed by Teaser

Soon Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment are going to reveal a new trailer of Death Stranding, but there are a few elements that can already be glimpsed despite the fact that the video rolling on PlayStation’s Twitch channel is partly obscured.

You can see what we were able to glimpse so far in the images at the bottom of the post.

First of all, we get to see a couple of traversal tools. Sam is able to use an extensible ladder to climb, and a rope to rappel down cliffs.

On top of that, he can ride a motorbike, which also looks very cool.

There are also snowy environments, even if we don’t know which effects they’ll have on movements and survival just yet.

Last, but not least, we get the reveal of the music that will serve as the background for the trailer. It’s “Path” from the 2000 album “Cult” by Apocalyptica.

If you want a sneak peek, you can listen to it below.

Recently, Hideo Kojima himself talked about the creation of the game at Tribeca Film Festival, while he also made a few comments on the state of development a few weeks ago.

You can read some semi-recent impressions by Head of Marketing and Communications Aki Saito and Sam’s actor Norman Reedus, and more by Guerrilla Games Managing Director Hermen Hulst.

For now, we know that Death Stranding is coming to PS4, and recently Kojima-san possibly teased a 2019 release. That being said, it was a rather vague tease and it could have meant something else. We might get to know very soon.
