Days Gone Beats Mortal Kombat 11 to the Top of the U.K. Sales Charts

The UKIE has released its weekly sales charts for the competitive gaming market in the United Kingdom, and there were two prominent new competitors, Days Gone and Mortal Kombat 11.

Not only Days Gone beat the rival, but apparently, it did it with a fatality, leaving Mortal Kombat behind by quite a margin.

While Mortal Kombat 11  sold 43.6% less than its predecessor (but this may be offset by higher digital sales since the UKIE counts only physical retail copies), Days Gone sold only 27% less than God of War during its own debut week. Considering that Sony Bend’s game is a new IP, that’s really impressive.

World War Z, which was at the top last week, fell all the way down to 10th place. On the other hand, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, kept some of its steam and actually gained a position.

You can see the top-10 table at the bottom of the post.

Days Gone has been released just a few days ago exclusively for PS4.
