Today Acquire announced a Japanese release date for its multiplayer action game Scrap Rush!!

The game is going to hit the shelves very soon, on April 16, and it will be rather affordable at 1,680 yen including taxes. We heard a while ago that it was coming this year after the initial announcement at Tokyo Game Show, and now it’s on final approach.

The game features up to four players that basically need to collect scrap across the screen. It isn’t all that different from the Bomberman series, but of course, it features different rules. There is no collaboration with the opponents and the only objective is to beat them.

On top of the release details, we get a trailer, a second video featuring the story, and plenty of additional gameplay videos to show exactly how it works. The first gameplay video shows the Point Battle mode, the second the Survival Battle mode, and the third is all about the Junk Battle mode.

At the moment Scrap Rush!! has not been announced for North America or Europe, so we’ll have to see if someone will pick this up sometime down the line. It seems to be a lot of fun played with friends.
