Anthem isn’t as buggy as some other similar games that have released recently, but it’s not free of bugs and strange glitches with missions. Here’s how to fix the Freelancer Down bug in Anthem. This is a common problem that is affecting some players that are trying to play that mission.
The Freelancer Down bug affects players by spawning a never-ending onslaught of Dominion enemies, making it difficult, if not impossible, to progress past this mission. There are a couple of reported ways to solve this bug and continue on past the mission.
The first comes way of Nexus-6-2016 on Reddit who claims that playing the mission in a private lobby will help to either avoid, or prevent the bug from appearing at all during Freelancer Down.
The second fix via JasteTrace on Reddit, which appears to work for not only the Freelancer Down bug, but another similar issue that appears during the Research and Rescue mission, is to just die while you’re on the bugged out part of the mission.
Don’t fight the never-ending Dominion hordes, just have everyone die, respawn, and for some players, that has fixed the issue for Freelancer Down.
It’s frustrating to come across any bugs, and hopefully Anthem will get Freelancer Down patched as soon as possible.
