First of all, we learn that Monster Hunter World has now passed 11 million units between physical shipments and full-game digital downloads.

That’s certainly a results to be proud of for a game some argued would be unsuccessful because it isn’t on a portable platform.

Secondly, we can take a look at the outlook for the full fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2019.

Capcom plans to sell a total of 25 million copies of games during the year by then, which is 600,000 more than the already exceptional results achieved the previous year.

The predicted ratio of sales outside of Japan is a whopping 86.4%. 54.8% of those games are predicted to be sold digitally, while 70.4% are catalog titles, IE: released before the beginning of the fiscal year. Obviously, Monster Hunter World has the lion’s share of that.

The publisher is counting on Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 (Which already achieved three million units shipped in a week) to achieve its flattering results for the fiscal year.

All the pieces of the puzzle appear to be falling in their proper place for that to happen by the end of March.
