  19. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – Switch – 7,718/177,872
  20. Dragon Ball FighterZ – Switch – 7,554/73,861

The hardware chart is as follows:

  1. Switch: 199,982

  6. New 3DS XL: 3,281
  7. 2DS: 557
  8. Xbox One X: 102
  9. Xbox One: 53

With the lack of any new releases, the software charts for both weeks look absolutely identical, with Nintendo Switch games taking most slots and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate dominating.

Of course, the Switch is also the best-selling console of both weeks, even if it took a sizable dip compared to the Christmas period. The PS4 actually remained essentially flat in the week after Christmas, and soared in the New Year week, showing that it still has sales potential in the country even after four years.

Interestingly, Dragon Quest Builders 2 for Nintendo Switch has overtaken the PS4 version, even if by just a handful of units.

On the PS4 side, both Judgment and God Eater 3 have passed 200,000 units sold, which is pretty solid.

Just earlier today we learned that the Switch has outsold the PS4 two to one in 2018 in Japan, and has passed seven million units sold cumulatively in the local market.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
