Below you can check out the top-ten related to the week ended on Dec. 8.

Last Week This Week Title
New Entry 1 Super Smash Bros Ultimate
2 2 Red Dead Redemption 2
3 1 FIFA 19
4 4 Battlefield V
9 5 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
New Entry 6 Just Cause 4
3 7 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
6 8 Spyro Reignited Trilogy
7 9 Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu
10 10 Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate didn’t just debut in first place dethroning FIFA 19 and leaving Red Dead Redemption 2 in second place, but it was the fastest selling Nintendo Switch game of all time, beating the previous record-holder, Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee.

On top of that, it was also the best-selling Smash Bros. game of all time. It sold 302% higher than the sales achieved by Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, 233% higher compared to its equivalent for 3DS, and 62.5% higher than the debut sales of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the venerable Wii.

Unfortunately, the news isn’t that positive for the other new entry, Just Cause 4, which debuted in sixth place, and is the slowest-selling game of the franchise in the United Kingdom. Launch week sales are down 61.5% compared to Just Cause 3.

55% of those sales were on PS4, while the rest were on Xbox One.

Do keep in mind that UKIE and GfK track only physical sales, so digital sales are not counted in the data included in this article.
