We Need These Eevee Tamagotchi to Release in the States … Stat!

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Bandai has revealed that – for the first time ever– an Eevee-themed Tamagotchi will be released over in Japan next year for 2300 yen. The Tamagotchi comes in two different colors and stars our favorite little fox dog thing, Eevee.

Your Eevee is able to evolve into any of the eight Eevee evolutions (Jolteon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, Espeon, Flareon, Sylveon, Glaceon, and Leafeon) depending on the conditions that are met.

Bandai didn’t specify just how these forms would come to be but probably the most important change from other Tamagotchi toys is the removal of the Poo function. You won’t have to clean up Eevee’s poo but will instead have to clean up its hairballs by brushing them away.

The main target for these toys are women between the age of 20-30 and will be sold at toy stores, appliance stores, and over the internet. As of right now, there is no word on a release outside of Japan, but we hope that that changes very soon.

The Eevee Tamagotchi launches in Japan on Jan 26, 2019.
