Announced by Nintendo via their most recent quarterly sales data, the Switch now sits at a total of 19.67 million units sold worldwide after 15 months on the market. This is compared to the lifetime sales of the company’s last console the Nintendo Wii U, which topped out at 13.56 million units sold, and the Nintendo Wii, which sold 101.63 million units across seven years of production.

In addition, the game’s first party software continues to sell at a similar rate, with newly released titles like Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Tennis Aces exceeding 1 million units sold to round out the console’s top ten selling titles list, which includes new IPs like ARMS and 1-2-Switch. The console’s software sales have still not exceeded the Wii U’s however, sitting at 86.93 million compared to 102.28 million respectively.
