Humble Monthly a hat in time

Humble Monthly, Humble’s monthly subscription service, this month includes A Hat in Time, The Escapists 2, and Conan Exiles as August’s early unlock games. You can download those three games right now for the standard $12 a month if you’re not already a member. If you’re unfamiliar, let’s quickly break them down.

A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer where you control Hat Kid, a girl trying to get back to her home world. It’s a game that hearkens back to the golden age of 3D platforming collect-a-thon games like Super Mario 64, or Banjo-Kazooie. We scored it a 4 out of 5 last October and thought it totally succeeded in recapturing the charm of that era.

Next there’s The Escapists 2, a game about escaping prison by any means necessary. You’ll need to buy or craft tools, plan escape routes, and then try to execute the plan without getting caught. And, as of The Escapists 2, you can play cooperatively with a friend and either work together, or sabotage each other.

Finally there’s Conan Exiles a survival game set in the universe of Conan The Barbarian. In this one, you’ll need to survive a hostile world by gathering and crafting materials to build up a kingdom that can repel jealous outsiders.

As with all of Humble’s monthly bundles, the rest of the games are yet to be revealed, but will be worth over $100 in total. 5% of the Humble Monthly proceeds go to charity.
