Once players have completed the main storyline in The Following expansion, they will be able to tackle an assortment of bounties that will be regularly updated. According to a statement given by Community Manager, Maciej Binkowksi, “Basically, these are unique objectives that change every day. So even if you did all the quests, challenges, you always have a reason to jump in, preferably with some friends.”

There are three different types of bounties that will be featured in the expansion.

Basic Bounties are tasks that can be completed while the player explores quarantine zones or do quests. Tasks can range from chopping off zombies’ heads to escaping chases after the sun has set on Harran.

Daily Bounties change every day. The example given in the trailer is to find the highest building in Harran, scale it, and find a way to jump off of the building without dying in the process.

Community Challenges are bounties that last a few days and require Dying Light players to cooperate in order to reach a cumulative goal. If the community succeeds in meeting the bounty, all players who participated will be rewarded with a medal.

“Bounties are a great way to bump up your XP,” Maciej Binkowski added. “Especially for the new Legend Levels which players will unlock once they max out one the base skill trees.”

Techland is set to launch Dying Light Enhanced Edition on February 9th alongside its Dying Light: The Following expansion pack. Players who already own the base version of the game will be automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Edition at no extra charge.
