How to Upgrade Gear In Diablo 4

The steps for upgrading gear in Diablo 4 are pretty straight-forward, and will follow the same general steps laid out below.

  • Head Into Town – First, you’ll need to head into town. This is where you’ll find the blacksmith, who is the key to upgrading your gear. You can find the blacksmith in any of the towns or cities scattered throughout the game.
  • Find the Blacksmith – The blacksmith is easy to spot – just look for the anvil icon on your map. When you’re near the blacksmith, you’ll see a hammer icon above his head. This means he’s ready to do business. Click on him to start the upgrade process.
  • Toggle the Menu Over to Find the Upgrade Option – Once you’re talking to the blacksmith, you’ll need to toggle the menu over to find the upgrade option. This can be done by using the left and right arrows on your keyboard or gamepad. Once you find the upgrade option, select it.
  • Select the Gear You Wish to Upgrade – Now it’s time to select the gear you wish to upgrade. This can be any piece of equipment you own, including weapons, armor, and accessories. If you’re not sure which piece of gear to upgrade, look for the one that you use the most. This will give you the most bang for your buck.
  • Pay the Required Amount of Materials and Gold – Once you’ve selected the gear you want to upgrade, it’s time to pay the required amount of materials and gold. The materials required will vary depending on the item you want to upgrade. You can find out what materials are needed by hovering over the upgrade button. You’ll also need to pay a certain amount of gold, and the amount will vary depending on the item.
  • The Item is Now Upgraded and More Powerful – Once you’ve paid the required amount of materials and gold, the blacksmith will begin the upgrade process. This will take a few seconds, but once it’s done, your item will be upgraded and more powerful than before. The upgrade will increase the item’s stats, making it more effective in combat.

Upgrading your gear is an integral part of Diablo 4, and it’s important to keep your gear up-to-date if you want to succeed in the game. Now that you know how to upgrade your gear in Diablo 4 though, you’re one step closer to becoming an unstoppable force of nature capable of defeating any challenge.
