If you’ve yet to play Resident Evil Village, congratulations: Your patience has paid off handsomely, as the game’s Gold Edition is nearing its release with a host of new features. Key among them is a demo for the game, which allows you to check out the game’s new camera view for a limited time before the title hits retail and digital store shelves. Accessing it can be a little convoluted though, which is why we’re here with a guide on how to download and play the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition third person demo.
How to Download & Play the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition Demo
Depending on which platform you attempt to play the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition demo through, you’ll need to go through different steps to download it.
For PC, it’s as simple as logging into your Steam account and looking up Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. The demo will be available for download and play right before you reach the purchase option.
For consoles, meanwhile, you’ll need to do a bit of digging. Case in point: On PlayStation, you’ll need to head to the PlayStation Store and look up Resident Evil Village. Then, go to its actual Product Page and find the drop down menu icon for other features tied to the game. The drop down icon will look like three dots, and can be found to the far right side of the options available for the game.
After selecting the drop down, a list of options will appear. In that list will be two labeled as “Demo.” The first refers to the original Maiden demo, while the second refers to the new Third Person demo. Select the second option, and then the demo will start to upload to your console so long as you have the necessary space of 6.39 GB.
From there, you’ll simply need to select the demo from your console’s main menu to start it up and play through it. Do be aware, though, that you’ll only be able to play it for a maximum of one hour before it becomes inaccessible.
