The shush celebration was one of the most commonly used in past FIFA games, and so it’s understandable that people are wondering whether it’s returning in FIFA 23. Having not been included in the past few entries in EA Sports’ soccer series, some players may be hoping that it’s been brought back. However, you may be a little disappointed by the answer.

Is the Shush Celebration in FIFA 23?

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but the shush celebration will not be in FIFA 23.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise for long-term fans of FIFA, as the shush celebration wasn’t in FIFA 22 and was last seen in FIFA 20. EA Sports opted to remove it as part of the changes that were made to the celebration section after scoring a goal.

The period was made shorter to reduce time-wasting and players’ attempts to get an upper hand by being toxic and trying to annoy their opponents into rage quitting.

While this may come as disappointing news to those who love nothing more than to try and get under the skin of their opponents online, you’ll be delighted to know there’s a new, equally infuriating celebration in the form of The Griddy that you can perform fairly easily in FIFA 23.

That’s everything you need to know regarding the shush celebration in FIFA 23. Now, go find another toxic celebration to taunt your opponent’s with! For more on the game, be sure to check out our guides on FIFA 23’s Icons, how the Chemistry system works, and the fastest players in FIFA 23.
