With all of the week six Resistance quests out of the way, it is time to focus on the Covert Ops questline once again. Remember these are timed and you will not be able to undertake this quest if you didn’t finish the first one in time. Assuming you are all good to go, we’re now dealing with how to collect compromised intel from IO Outposts in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
How to Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build
First off, you need to make sure you are doing all of this in Zero Build modes, as no other build modes will work.
The Covert Ops quests function much like the Resistance questline so you will still need to deal with the first stage objective before moving on. We need to “Establish Device Uplink in Zero Build.” There are five locations to choose from. We went to the one in the southeast and it is recommended you follow along with us.
You can find the hologram audio log to Establish Device Uplink only a tiny bit south of the gas station landmark.

How to Collect Compromised Intel From IO Outposts in Fortnite:
- Once you have touched the above hologram audio log, the quest objective will become “Collect compromised Intel from IO Outposts in Zero Build.”
- There are five different locations to visit to complete this objective but you only need two of them.
- The first place we went was to the most northeastern location.
You can find the compromised intel on the ground floor of the destroyed tower sitting on this black box. You will have to break out part of the tower’s base to get to it, so make sure that there’s no one around.
- The second area we went to was the spot northeast of Logjam Lumberyard.
This one is also at a destroyed tower but on the outside, you won’t have to break anything to get to it. Though, there was an AI-driven tank there when we arrived.
