Earlier today, developer Piranha Bytes and publisher THQ Nordic dropped a brand new trailer detailing the narrative of their upcoming science-fantasy action-RPG, ELEX II. Specifically, the new explanation video helps get players up to speed with the ins and outs of the war-torn planet of Magalan, where the ELEX series is set.

Clocking in at just over four minutes long, the new clip sheds light on where the storyline is heading in the forthcoming sequel. Following the ending of the first ELEX title, there are a whole lot of questions on players’ lips as the game ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.
Indeed, not only is a much greater threat on its way to the planet, but the game’s protagonist, Jax, will play a pivotal role in how things play out as his fate is inextricably linked with the peril looming on the horizon.
