There seems to be a neverending supply of Warhammer licensed games, but for Frontier Developments’ upcoming real-time strategy title, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, fans would have to wait a little longer after it was announced that it has been delayed into the second half of 2023.
This news comes via Frontier’s latest interim results and trading update, pushing a game that was originally scheduled for the early half of 2023 to the latter half. This will hopefully allow the team to “further improve the quality and longevity of the game, and overall make it more successful.”
While the delay is unfortunate news for anyone who was aware of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, the game has not exactly been grabbing any attention from fans or press. After all, it was revealed without much fanfare through an investor meeting two years ago.
Following that, there has not been any new reveals or updates from the team at Frontier about the RTS. With no screenshots, trailers, or even gameplay to discuss, perhaps a delay is the right thing to do at this moment. Thankfully, there are certainly plenty of other Warhammer related titles for fans to enjoy, especially with Total War: Warhammer III around the corner.
