We get to see the first trailer and screenshots and we learn that the game will be released in Japan in the summer of 2022.

Pre-registrations are open, and there are a variety of rewards coming based on the total, up to 500,000.

The game will include the original story from the manga with many iconic scenes, while battles will be shown with high-quality 3D visuals.

Of course, it’s going to come for iOS and Android with the usual free-to-play business model with optional microtransactions.

The Fullmetal Alchemist manga by Hiromu Arakawa debuted in 2001 and also sparked several anime productions, a light novel series, and a live-action film. The manga itself has sold 80 million copies worldwide.

At the moment, a western release has not been announced, but it’s worth mentioning that Square Enix has been quite proactive in publishing its mobile games in the west, as of late, so a localization is not impossible.

We’ll have to wait and see if Square Enix makes an announcement in that direction as well, but for now, there are no hints leading one way or the other.
