Free Four Hour Riders Republic Trial Goes Live Tomorrow For a Week; Progress Will Carry Over to Paid Version

Starting tomorrow any prospective buyers of Riders Republic, a new game from the folks that brought you Steep, can give the full version of the game a go for up to four hours over the course of the next week leading up to the game’s release on Oct. 28.

This trial week will, as stated above, will essentially be a full version of the game, and any progress you make during the trial will carry over if you choose to pay for the full version. This includes stats, the gear you unlock, everything essentially.

In addition, if you choose to participate in the trial, you can try and complete a Mad Challenge which will earn you rewards if you’re successful. You can sign up here if you’re interested in that.

This is an interesting approach to promote the game. Four hours should be enough time to figure out if Riders Republic is for you or not, and being able to carry literally everything over is a nice touch.

Riders Republic is kind of a sequel to Steep, it still has some winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, but will also include new sports such as mountain biking, wingsuit flying, and the totally real sport of rocket wingsuiting. The game features “mass races” which pits a ton of players against each other in huge races that appear to be extremely chaotic and, hopefully, fun.

Riders Republic releases on Oct. 28 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. You can dig into the details of the Trial Week here if you’re interested in downloading and participating.
