Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct to Air About 20 Minutes of Content Next Week

Earlier today on Twitter, via Isabelle, it was revealed that next week’s direct would feature over roughly 20 minutes of information about the content coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As you can see in the tweet below, the upcoming presentation is set to take place on Oct. 15 at 7am PT.

While they’ve yet to specify what the content will revolve around exactly, the teaser that aired at the last Nintendo Direct basically spelled out that the DLC will be about The Roost and Brewster. This area is well known to the Animal Crossing series, making its first appearance in Wild Worlds back in 2005.

It’ll be interesting to see how Animal Crossing: New Horizons integrates this area and Brewster into the game, as it could once again be a great place for concerts, vendors, and meeting brand new characters. Be sure to tune in next week to find out for yourself, and don’t forget to check back to Twinfinite in November when the content update is officially launched for our impressions.

Anyone who has never played Animal Crossing: New Horizons and is looking for a bit more info can check out the synopsis below.

Escape to a deserted island and create your own paradise as you explore, create, and customize in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game. Your island getaway has a wealth of natural resources that can be used to craft everything from tools to creature comforts. You can hunt down insects at the crack of dawn, decorate your paradise throughout the day, or enjoy sunset on the beach while fishing in the ocean. The time of day and season match real life, so each day on your island is a chance to check in and find new surprises all year round.

Show off your island utopia to family and friends—or pack your bags and visit theirs. Whether playing online* or with others beside you**, island living is even better when you can share it. Even without hopping on a flight, you’ll meet a cast of charming animal residents bursting with personality. Friendly faces like Tom Nook and Isabelle will lend their services and happily help you grow your budding community. Escape to your island getaway—however, whenever, and wherever you want.
