Specifically, subscribers will receive: The King’s Bird, Shadows: Awakening, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Firstly, The King’s Bird is a challenging precision-platforming title with a vibrant aesthetic, and is inspired by platformers like N++.

Twinfinite’s very own Andrew McMahon reviewed the game on PC back in 2018 and awarded the game three out of five, concluding: “If you enjoy a challenging platformer, The King’s Bird will test your limits.” You can read his full in-depth review here.

Next, Shadows: Awakening is an isometric action-RPG with real-time combat, akin to the Diablo series. Here’s the rundown courtesy of the game’s Steam page:

Shadows: Awakening is a unique, isometric single-player RPG with real-time tactical combat. You take control of a demon summoned from the Shadow Realm – the Devourer – to consume the souls of long-dead heroes and embark on an epic adventure with challenging gameplay, a gripping storyline and enchanting graphics. Do you have the focus and wits to master the world of the Heretic Kingdoms? Gather your party, control powerful heroes and use their skills to your advantage. But who is in charge… the demon, or the souls that it has devoured? It’s up to you to either thwart a major threat and save the world, or to plunge it into complete disaster…

NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, on the other hand, is a fighting title that features classic characters from the eponymous console that released back in 1990. Here’s the official description from the game’s Xbox marketplace:

NeoGeo Special Cast unleashes this tag-team versus fighter. In addition to original heroes and heroines, it features a host of unique characters that transcend time; armed with weapons and robots warriors from both old and new titles of the once dominant NeoGeo platform have been amassed under one roof. We are proud to present the Xbox LIVE Arcade version, featuring both character and background graphics redone in high definition.

Finally, there’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, which is another competitive fighting game that pits iconic superheroes against one another. Here’s the official description via the Xbox marketplace:

What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat? Injustice: Gods Among Us introduces a bold new franchise to the fighting game genre from NetherRealm Studios, creators of Mortal Kombat. Featuring DC Comics icons such as Batman, The Joker, Green Lantern, The Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman, the latest title from the award-winning studio presents a deep original story. Heroes and villains will engage in epic battles on a massive scale in a world where the line between good and evil has been blurred.

But what say you? Tell us, are you impressed with next month’s Games With Gold lineup? Or do you think this month‘s was a lot stronger? Let us know in the usual place down below.
