Monster Hunter Rise: How to Get Novacrystals

Developed and published by Capcom, Monster Hunter Rise is the latest entry in the popular action RPG series. The game follows a similar loop to its predecessors, and hunts will get progressively harder as your Hunter Rank increases. However, the drops also get better as well. Here’s how to get Novacrystals in Monster Hunter Rise.

Getting Novacrystals in Monster Hunter Rise

Novacrystals are one of the rarer resources you can get in Monster Hunter Rise, and you’ll need to farm them once you’ve unlocked the High Rank quests if you want to craft better gear.

Just like any other ore-type material in the game, Novacrystals can be farmed from mining outcrops. Specifically, you’ll want to check the mining outcrops in the Flooded Forest during a High Rank quest or expedition. Blue outcrops have a chance of dropping them for you, but white outcrops have better drop rates for rarer items.

When in the Flooded Forest, head to sectors 1, 7, 8, 9, and 10 and look out for mining outcrops along the sides of the path, and then start farming. The outcrops should respawn over time as well, so you’ll be able to farm more of them if you spend enough time in the level.

As mentioned previously, Novacrystals are used for forging and upgrading gear in Monster Hunter Rise. We’ve listed all of the gear pieces that require this material down below:
