Classic Adventure Series Famicom Detective Club Heads West

During today’s Nintendo Direct, two classic murder mystery adventure games were announced for a western release for the first time. Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind are set for release May 14 on Nintendo eShop.

Originally released on the Famicom system in Japan in 1988, both games have players unraveling supernatural murder mysteries. The Missing Heir is set within a Japanese village where you will uncover a family murder mystery while your main character deals with amnesia. The Girl Who Stands Behind has players unraveling a mystery to free students from a “sinister nightmare”.

This new western release appears to be a remake complete with new CG artwork. Take a look at the trailer below.
