Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to Go Fishing

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Eivor’s plight to establish the Raven Clan and forge new alliances across England is tough work, which means sometimes it’s nice to take a break and go fishing for a bit. And the prize is actually worth the effort, too, since fish are useful for both shrine offerings and exchanging for rewards back at Ravensthorpe. So, here’s how to go fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla if you’re unsure.

How to Go Fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Fishing in Valhalla is a fairly simple process that is available to you almost from the very start of the game.

To go fishing, first, you’ll want to find a stretch of water and bring up the command menu by pressing down on the d-pad (or equivalent key on PC).

Now it’s time to cast your line by pressing L2/LT to aim, and then R2/RT to cast.

All that’s left to do now is sit back and wait for a bite! As soon as you feel one, press R2/RT to hook the fish.

With a fish on the line, you’ll need to be careful to control its direction while pressing X/A repeatedly to reel it in. Just make sure you don’t go too crazy or you’ll snap the line.

You should be able to hear a line tension noise increasing in intensity when you’re reaching the threshold of its strength. Keep controlling the fish’s direction as best you can to get it pointing toward your rod.

As you can see above, once you have built a fishing outpost at your settlement you’ll be able to exchange fish for loot, such as Runes.

And that’s all there is to it! Hopefully, this Seahenge Standing Stones solution for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been useful.
