Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games released a couple of videos focusing mostly on the ships populating the growing space simulator.

Recommended Videos

First of all, the first video focuses on the upcoming rework of the Origin 100 series, on top of providing a look at how the game’s menus have been updated with the developer’s Building Blocks tech.

The second video has the developer discuss more ships as part of the Ships Showdown event.

You can check both out below.

In other Star Citizen news, the crowdfunding total is currently at $313,107,653 at the moment of this writing, well over $313 million.

The number of registered accounts is now well over 2.7 million (currently 2,791,307).

As usual, it’s known that not all of them are paying players. The number includes free accounts created for a variety of reasons, including free fly events.

/Incidentally, a “Free Fly” event is currently ongoing, so if you want to see the current state of the game with your own eyes, you can. Creator Chris Roberts also made an extensive statement on the state of development earlier today.

For the sake of full disclosure, the author of this article has been a Star Citizen backer since the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago, so you should keep that in mind while reading.
