Sony held a PS5 showcase today in which the company revealed multiple titles for the upcoming next-gen console. A price and release date was also unveiled. You can check out everything that was announced during the presentation right here.
Final Fantasy XVI
Square Enix showed off tons of gameplay for Final Fantasy XVI, the latest title in the long-running RPG series. It’s a console exclusive but it will also launch for PC.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Insomniac Games and Sony showed off tons of new gameplay footage for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It’s been confirmed as a launch title for the PS5 and it will also release on PS4.
Hogwarts Legacy
Avalanche and Warner Bros. Games showed off the first trailer for the much-rumored Harry Potter RPG and it’s titled Hogwarts Legacy. It’s coming sometime in 2021.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
A new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was also shown during the PS5 event. Zombies are back and there’s a free Alpha coming to PS5 on Sept 18 that runs until Sept 20.
Resident Evil Village
The spooky follow-up to Resident Evil 7 is coming in 2021 still and now we have new gameplay footage that’s very Tim Burton-esque.
Deathloop
Arkane Studios and Bethesda gave us a closer look at the upcoming first-person shooter, Deathloop. It’s still slated for release in Q2 of 2021.
DMC 5 Special Edition
Capcom is bringing Devil May Cry to the PS5 and it will be available digitally at launch.
Oddworld: Soulstorm
Oddworld: Soulstorm got a new gameplay trailer during the event but we still don’t know when it’s coming out. This is the first game in the series since 2014, which continues the story of Abe.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach
The spooky animatronic creatures are back with Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. A teaser trailer was shown and the game is coming to PS5.
Demon’s Souls
Bluepoint Games is remaking Demon’s Souls and plenty of gameplay was shown during the PS5 showcase event. Demon’s Souls will be a launch title for PS5.
PlayStation Plus Collection on PS5
Sony announced that PS5 owners will have access to the PlayStation Plus Collection at launch. This collection includes tons of digital PS4 titles such as Monster Hunter: World, God of War, and Days Gone.
PS5 Price
The standard PS5 will cost $499 and the digital edition will cost $399. The console releases on Nov 12 in the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. And on Nov 19 it will release everywhere else in the world.
God of War Sequel Teased
No gameplay footage was shown, but Santa Monica Studio teased a God of War sequel that will be coming in 2021 for PS5.
