Rogue Legacy 2 has made its debut on Early Access, and if you’re like other fans of the series, you’re eager to dive right into the experience. You may not have all the time in the world to play it though, which might lead you to the question: How long does it take to beat Rogue Legacy 2?
Well, we’ve done the leg work and are here to help answer that question with a guide.
How Long Does Rogue Legacy 2 Take to Beat? Answered
To put it bluntly, there’s no firm answer for how long it takes to beat Rogue Legacy 2. Instead, the answer stems from factors related to skill, RNG elements, and how far into its development the game is at the time that you’re reading this.
On the skill front, Rogue Legacy 2’s length stems less from there being tons of content to uncover and more from the title’s difficulty requiring multiple attempts at beating it.
If you’re more experienced with the series, you might have an easier time adjusting to the difficulty curve and beat the game within a few hours. On the other hand, if you’re new to the series, it might take you as many as a few dozen hours to adjust to this curve and finally achieve a winning run.
There are also RNG elements in the game’s design to consider. Like with the first game, Rogue Legacy 2 has elements that are randomized and completely out of your control, forcing you to adapt to them in order to make it to the end of the game.
These include randomized area layouts, which change with each subsequent playthrough, and different traits your characters carry that can help or harm their chances of survival.
Last but not least, there’s the fact that Rogue Legacy 2 still isn’t a completed game. At the time of this guide’s writing, the title has only just entered Early Access, and as such isn’t a finished product.
The average completion time right now may be completely different even a month down the line because more areas have been added in.
With that in mind, we’ll be updating this guide as the game’s stint in Early access continues and will provide a firmer answer as to the game’s length when we can accurately do so.
