It’s that time of the month again, which means that the NPD released its data about the U.S. gaming market related to June 2020.

It’s that time of the month again, which means that the NPD released its data about the U.S. gaming market related to June 2020.

Once again, analyst Mat Piscatella delivers the news via Twitter.

The Last of Us Part II was the month’s best-selling game and skyrocketed to 3rd place among the best-selling games of 2020. It’s also ranked 8th among the highest-grossing games in the past twelve months.

On top of that, it generated the highest dollar sales in its launch months among all games released in 2020. It’s also the second-best in this metric in PlayStation’s first-party history after Marvel’s Spider-Man.

The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware platform in June in the U.S. both for dollar sales and units sold.

Below you can check out all the relevant charts, including those broken down by platforms. Interestingly, Persona 4: Golden entered the month’s best-selling chart in 18th place following its Steam launch.
