With Gears Tactics, the gory third-person shooter has gone turn-based tactics. You’ll be moving your units around the map, seeking out cover and utilizing abilities to push back the Locust threat. If you’re wanting to experience a particular mission all over again, you may be wondering if you can replay missions in Gears Tactics.
Replaying Missions in Gears Tactics
Unfortunately, from what we can gather, there’s no way you can just go back to any old random mission and simply replay it whenever you like. That being said, it doesn’t mean you can’t replay or retry missions altogether.
After clearing a mission, pressing Space on your keyboard or selecting the option in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen will enable you to replay the mission.
You might want to do this if you just particularly enjoyed the mission, if one of your units was killed, or if you want to go for that extra optional objective to get that extra Case.
On top of that, if you’re midway through a mission and want to restart it, you can do so at any point by pressing Escape (Esc) and then selecting the ‘Restart Mission’ option. There’s also a ‘Restart from Last Checkpoint’ option that you can use if you don’t want to restart the entire mission.
The other alternative you have if you do want to replay missions in Gears Tactics’ campaign is to simply start a new game. There are multiple save slots, and you can increase or lower the difficulty, or even enable Ironman Mode if you’re looking for a real challenge.
For now, though, if you were hoping of having a Mission Select option, that’s not the case. This could be added in via a post-launch update, however, so all hope isn’t lost just yet.
That’s how to replay missions in Gears Tactics. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite or check out more of our coverage below.
