Final Fantasy 7 Remake: How to Level Up Fast

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake may have incorporated action elements into the original gameplay formula, but it still retains plenty of JRPG mechanics. This includes a leveling element, and if you’re like most players, you’re probably eager to find out how to level up fast so you can be as strong as possible.

How to Level Up Fast in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake

To level up fast in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, there’s really no better method than to diligently complete every battle and side quest you come across.

This may sound counter-intuitive to the whole “fast” concept, but it does work out in the end. Whereas you’d only reach a certain level by the end of the game if you only focus on the main content and fights, you’ll hit said level far earlier – and more easily – by completing random encounters and exploring the game’s side content.

This is because each side mission grants a decent boost to your experience upon completion, in addition to any fights you complete on your way to completing it. As for completing battles, it’s just more experience given to you overall, and can pile up quickly if you’re completing every fight you get dragged into.

This is especially true if you’re quick about completing side missions and learn how to best dispatch each of the game’s many enemies. Doing so will help you to reach new heights even more quickly than those who might explore all the game has to offer without bothering to learn its mechanics.

Post-Game Bonuses

Past that, the only other way to level up quickly is to just beat the main story. After you’ve cleared the game, you’ll be granted a double exp bonus, and you’ll also be able to replay any story chapter in the game. Considering how slow it is to level up, the double exp bonus is certainly the best way to rack up those levels.

But as far as leveling quickly during your first playthrough, your best bet would be to just engage in all enemy encounters and do all the side quests you come across.

And that’s all there is to it really. Hopefully this made figuring out how to level up fast in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake a bit easier.
