Final Fantasy 7 Remake: What Should You Say to Jesse (No Promises or Not Happening)

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is finally here and it gives added screen time to many of the original game’s classic characters. Of course Aerith, Tifa, Barret and Cloud take the spotlight, but even smaller characters like Biggs, Wedge and Jesse have some time to shine too. Jesse is very excited to spend some time with Cloud in the early parts of the game and even asks Cloud out on a date early on, inviting him to come back “tomorrow night.” Here’s what will happen when you say No Promises or Not Happening to Jesse when she asks to come back tomorrow night in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

What You Should Say to Jesse in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

So as we alluded to above, Jesse is a huge flirt in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. She has a very obvious crush on Cloud and isn’t afraid to show it. Cloud is tall, brooding, handsome, and mysterious, so we can certainly understand the appeal! It would certainly be a case of opposites attract though as Jesse is outgoing, loud, and very forward AKA everything Cloud isn’t in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

After a certain section of the game, you’ll walk home with Wedge and will be able to check on Jesse. Wedge warns you about Jesse that it’s a “game” for her, but you eventually check on her anyway.

Jesse will ask you out and you have a rare dialog option. You can either tell her No Promises or Not Happening. Sadly, if you’re a big fan of Jesse, none of them are: “Yes Jesse I’d love to go out with you” but you’ll have to make do with Cloud’s personality here. No Promises is the closest thing you have to an affirmative response in this situation. If you’re not interested, simply say Not Happening.

Spoiler Warning: I’m going to talk a bit about what happens next in the story to advise you on what to pick, so click away if you don’t want to know. If you want to say the closest thing to yes, pick No Promises. If you want to say no, say Not Happening.

So the way things will unfold in Final Fantasy 7 Remake in the near future after this scene will unfortunately not allow for this date to ever happen. Cloud and Jesse will each get pulled away into something important, and tomorrow night’s date never occurs regardless of what you say to her.

It doesn’t really matter what you pick in the long term then as there is no date scene to enjoy sadly. However, if you want to continue to be a bit more flirty with Jesse for fun though, say No Promises and Jesse will be ecstatic. Say Not Happening if you want to shut her down even more.

That does it for what you should say to Jesse in Final Fantasy 7 Remake when she asks you to come back “tomorrow night.” For more tips, tricks and FAQs answered definitely make sure to check out our Final Fantasy 7 Remake wiki guide and read our fully scored review.
