How to Save Your Game in Nioh 2

There are actually a few different ways to save your game in Nioh 2, depending on what you’re doing at the time. There are both autosaves and manual saves, so knowing when and how you can save is important.

Saving With Shrines

Presumably, the times you’ll want to save most are during missions. When it’s time to call it a night after playing for hours, or you’re just tired of running to your death over and over against a tough boss, you can save by praying at a shrine. Praying at a shrine automatically saves the game.

Your game is also automatically saved whenever you start or complete a mission in Nioh 2.

Saving on the Map

Before entering an area, you’ll be on the main map screen where you can see all of your available missions, upgrade your character, and more. On this map screen, you’ll also find that there’s an option to manually save by pressing triangle.

So if you’ve made changes to your character in terms of appearance, skills, or levels, you can quickly save without having to be at a shrine.
