The hellish anti-hero Spawn is the latest DLC fighter to come to Mortal Kombat 11, and if you’re like most fans of the game, you’re probably chomping at the bit to get your hands on him. That’s why we’re here with a guide on how to get Spawn added to your roster.
How to Get Spawn in Mortal Kombat 11
Being that Spawn is a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11, he won’t be accessible until you’ve either purchased the season pass for the game – called the Kombat Pack – or purchased him individually as a stand-alone DLC pack.
Not only that, but he’ll be available for download at different times based on whether you’re trying to download him via the Kombat Pack or individually. Those with the Pack can download him starting on Mar. 17, while those looking to download his character alone will have to wait until Mar. 24.
Fortunately, the process for getting Spawn is the same once you’ve fulfilled the necessary requirements. On the date which applies to whichever form of the DLC you chose, go to the Mortal Kombat 11 on the home screen of your console of choice; or, in other words, the icon that you select to start the game.
Without starting the game, scroll down to look for a Related Content or DLC Ready to Install tab – depending on whether you’re playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, respectively – and select the tab. From there, the Spawn DLC should pop up, and so long as it’s purchased, you can choose to download Spawn as a playable character.
After that, you can sit back and wait for him to be downloaded, and then play as him at your leisure once you start up the game.

- Purchase the Kombat Pack or Spawn DLC
Those with the Kombat Pack can download Spawn starting on Mar. 17, while those who purchase him individually have to wait until Mar. 24 to download him.
- Go to the Mortal Kombat 11 icon on the home screen
It’ll be the one you need to select to play the game.
- Without starting the game, scroll down to view its sub-menu
From here, you can view DLC that’s available for download, information on the game and so forth.
- Click on the Related Content or DLC Ready for Download tab
From here, you’ll find the Spawn DLC, and once it’s downloaded, he’ll be available to play as in the game.
