Doom Eternal: How to Skip Cutscenes & Dialogue

While some are interested in seeing what Doom Eternal‘s story brings to the table, others want to get right to the demon decimating action, and will likely want to skip past any story elements that slow them down. If you’re in the latter camp, then we’re here to help you along with a guide on how to skip cutscenes and dialogue in Doom Eternal.

Skipping Cutscenes and Dialogue in Doom Eternal

Skipping cutscenes and dialogue in Doom Eternal is a fairly simple process once you’ve got the hang of it.

Once you’ve entered a cutscene or dialogue-heavy section, simply hold down the Square Button on PlayStation 4 or the X Button on Xbox One. Doing so will skip the cutscene after a bit of time passes to make sure you meant to hold down said button, and from there you’ll be set loose again to wreak havoc on Hell and its denizens.

Included below are the controls for each platform, just in case you need to reference it again at any point during your playthrough.

And that’s all there is to how to skip cutscenes really. Once you’ve got this memorized, you’ll be able to sprint through Doom Eternal as fast as you like, smashing through story elements with abandon and keeping your adrenaline levels at their maximum levels.
