The Japanese press release announcing the free 25th Anniversary update which will come on April 2 included an additional nugget of information.

The team at Project Aces is working on new aircraft to be delivered as paid DLC in the future.

We also hear that further details will be released at a later time, with the encouragement to look forward to them.

This means that, for the moment, we don’t yet know what kind of warbirds will be released with this additional DLC, nor we know whether it’ll be one or multiple.

One thing is for sure: the fact that the game is still getting DLC a year after its release shows once more how successful it has been among the fans.

If you’d like to know in detail why Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is so good, you can read my full review. You can also watch the previous trailer released to celebrate the last DLC.

The game is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The development team is likely also already planning for the next step for the franchise, as mentioned in my recent interview with Brand Director Kazutoki Kono and Producer Manabu Shimomoto.

As a big Ace Combat fan, I personally can’t wait to see what’s next.
