The Wonderful 101: Remastered Gets New $2 Million Stretch Goal After Unlocking $1.5 Million Goal

PlatinumGames' unveiled another stretch goal for its Kickstarter campaign to fund The Wonderful 101: Remastered for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Today PlatinumGames’ fans shattered another Kickstarter milestone in their quest to provide the Osaka-based developer with abundant funding for its The Wonderful 101: Remastered.

The campaign has now skyrocketed past $1.5 million in just under a week, with 26 days left on the clock.

To be more precise, it’s sitting on $1,512,206 at the moment of this writing, provided by 23,347 backers.

This means that PlatinumGames will deliver a brand new 2D side-scrolling adventure titled “Luka’s First Mission” and starring a young hero. This was promised as the $1.5 million stretch goal.

In response, PlatinumGames revealed just another stretch goal at $2 million, and it’s “Luka’s Second Mission.”

The description simply mentions “Our young hero is back and ready for more adventure!”

Of course, before we get there, fans will have to unlock the “Remix Soundtrack” at 1.75 million, but I don’t think there is any doubt that this will soon happen.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered brings back PlatinumGames’ former Wii U-exclusive action game from 2013 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC via Steam.

Incidentally, yesterday we also learned that PlatinumGames has four (likely self-published) projects in store, three of which have not been revealed yet. We’ll have to wait and see what they have hidden up their sleeve.
