The game was originally revealed at E3 2019, and then went back under the radar until now.

First and foremost, we get official word about the platforms. The game will be cross-generation and it’ll come this holiday season for PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

You can check out the trailer below, alongside the key art and a few still images.

On top of that, the gameplay reveal isn’t far. It’ll happen on February 13 at 12:00 pm Pacific Time on Square Enix’s Twitch channel.

The press release also included a brief description of the game:

“OUTRIDERS is an RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across a hostile planet.

With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and deserts in pursuit of a mysterious signal.

Combining intense gunplay with violent powers, along with an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, OUTRIDERS offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter studios in the industry.”

Last, but not least, we get a comment from Game Director Bartek Kmita.

“It’s incredibly exciting to finally reveal what we have been working on for the last four years.

Outriders is our first game since leaving Epic Games, and has grown from an idea of the game we always wanted to make, to the most ambitious project People Can Fly has ever undertaken.”

Kmita will be in attendance at the gameplay reveal trailer alongside Lead Writer Joshua Rubin.
