According to Durkin, we can expect remasters and “reimagined experiences” this year. Incidentally, he means calendar year and not fiscal year, because Activision doesn’t operate in fiscal years.

Below you can read the full mention.

“In addition, our business units will continue to tap into our portfolio of beloved IP to bring several remastered and reimagined experiences to our players in 2020, which we’ll announce closer to launch.”

Activision has already delivered multiple successful remasters and remakes over the past few years, including Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

It’ll be interesting to see what will come next, but for now, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement. One thing is for sure: Activision has big archives to tap from, and their remakes and remasters have been quite good historically, so there is reason to be excited about this.

Earlier today we also got a tease about the future of the Call of Duty franchise, and news about the development of Diablo Immortal.
