Spike Chunsoft released a brand new trailer and new images of its upcoming action-JRPG Way of the Samurai Gaiden Katanakami.

The trailer showcases the main cast and the story, and then moves on to provide a look at the gameplay. 

The protagonist is a sword merchant who sells katana during the day and prowls the night in search of rare blades and other items.

You can cnjoy the trailer below.

On top of the trailer, we also get a few character images featuring the game’s rather unique art stile.

Featured are the main characters and three groups that we’ll have to deal with while playing.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Way of the Samurai series, it’s an action-RPG franchise by developed by Acquire and published Spike which debuted in 2002 for PS2 and then continued until Way of the Samurai 4 for PS3 in 2011.

Way of the Samurai Gaiden Katanakami releases in Japan on February 20 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
