If you’re someone who’s played the franchise’s games before or are from an English speaking country and enjoy the show, it’s possible that you’ve never heard the original Dragon Ball Z character voices.

Technically, Kakarot is designed to be heard with Japanese voices, so you may want to switch to that setting to play the game that way.

How to Switch to Japanese Voices in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

There is only one way to do it and it is from the game’s main title menu. You aren’t able to do it by pausing the game and flicking a switch between the two languages.

Once you’re there, go down to options, and then halfway down that part of the menu you’ll see a Voices slot. You can toggle between English and Japanese voices from here.

If you then want to switch back to English once you’ve started playing again, you’ll have to head back to the Dragon Ball Z Kakarot main menu and follow the same process again.

In short, to switch to Japanese voices in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot,

  1. Head to the game’s title menu.

You cannot do it from the menus while you play.

  2. Choose Options and then Voices.

  3. Here you’ll be able to select English or Japanese voices.
