How to Escape From Battles in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is an open-world RPG game, and in traditional RPG fashion, there are wild battles. Luckily you can run away from these over-world encounters.

To escape from a wild battle, the first thing you’ll need to do is disengage your lock from your enemy. This can be done by clicking in the right thumbstick. After that, you’ll want to fly as far away from your opponent as possible.

After you get far enough away, the battle will end and you’ll have escaped. It’s important to note that you can not escape story battles, only wild encounters in the overworld.

Defeating enemies in wild encounters is a great way to earn some extra experience, so be sure not to skip too many of these battles. However, if you’re trying to get somewhere fast, escaping the battle can be a lot less cumbersome, especially if you have a long way to travel.

Here’s a quick recap of how to escape in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.

  1. Disengage your lock

Click in on the thumbstick to stop locking onto the enemy.

  2. Create Distance

Fly as far away as possible from your opponent to trigger the escape.
