The folks over at Bethesda over the month so far have been teasing various skins that players can unlock for free in Doom Eternal, and it appears it might have culminated with the reveal of the 25th Anniversary Slayer skin.
Paying homage to an older, greyer look for the Doom Guy the sweet skin won’t cost you a dime, but will cost you a bit of time and effort outside of Doom Eternal.
The only way (that we know of so far) that you can unlock this skin will be by being an active participant in the game’s fan club AKA the Slayer’s Club.
Not only do you have to join, but you’ll need to reach the club’s “ultimate” rank of DOOM Slayer. You rank up by reading articles, entering polls, visiting the forum, submitting fan art, posting comments and other rewardable activities.
We don’t have any experience with the Slayer’s Club, so we’re not sure how long it normally takes for the average person to hit DOOM Slayer rank. You will unlock other skins along the way at least though such as this Imperial Marauder skin.
The club’s FAQ has more information about what signing up for the Slayer’s Club entails if you’re determined to get this 25th anniversary skin, or if joining is just something that sounds like something you would be interested in.
All the digital rewards will be rewarded to player on Doom Eternal’s release date: March 20, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and PC.
