President Yoshimi Yasuda himself tweeted that the next Dai Kansha-sai (which literally means “Great Thanksgiving” n Japanese) for the spring season will be hosted on May 23 at the Kaguraza multipurpose hall, located on the first floor of Kadokawa Shoten’s Fujimi Building.

He also mentions that there will be an event dedicated to the newly-announced Root Film on March 27, with voice actresses (and members of the i☆Ris idol group) Yuu Serizawa and Miyu Kubota in attendance.

Interestingly, the image below shows what appears to be art of the developer’s upcoming mecha strategy JRPG code-named Project Stella, possibly indicating that the event in May will focus on that game.

More new artwork was showcased on the official account of the game.

As promised, Kadokawa Games did show the first trailer of Project Stella during today’s event, but it hasn’t been published online just yet.

That being said, a few comments filtered online from Twitter users in attendance.

HAPPY LIFE 2020 mentions that it was really cool and thrilling, while マイカ noticed that the game also appear to have space battles despite the fact that we only saw ground environments in the few screenshots revealed so far.

プリン隊_ダークサン shares that the trailer showcases a battle scene which was more exciting than expected.

水色のごぼう mentions that the trailer was amazing, but the battle system appears different from both Kadokawa Games’ own God Wars and Fire Emblem.

We reached out to our contact at Kadokawa Games to inquire on when the trailer will be showcased publicly, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.

If you want to read more about Project Stella, you can read our interview with director and Kadokawa Games’ president Yoshimi Yasuda.

Incidentally, today’s event also included the announcement of LoveR Kiss for PS4 and Nintendo Switch and the first trailer of Metal Max Xeno Reborn.
