As the name suggests, point blank kills are basically close range kills where you have to be really close to your enemy in order for it to register. These can be tricky to get, though, as the distance between you and your enemy is actually much shorter than you might expect.
In addition to that, it would appear that point blank kills would only register if you weren’t aiming down the sights and just fire from the hip. Because of this, it’s highly recommended that you try to go for your point blank kills with a shotgun equipped. It’s much easier to pin down a kill with a shotgun, and its effective range is much shorter as well.
Whenever you do get a kill, a medal will also pop up on your screen to let you know that you got it. So if you don’t get the medal, you’ll know that you probably need to be much closer to your enemy, or remember that you have to be firing from the hip without aiming down the sights.
