The new Call of Duty game is finally here and it is quite a change from Black Ops 4. The single-player campaign is back, but many fans may be wondering what that means for Call of Duty’s battle royale mode, Blackout. Blackout followed the trend set by PUBG and Fortnite last year, with nearly 100 players dropping onto a map that was inspired by past games to see who could be the last man standing.
It proved to be pretty popular, adding a fresh new experience to Call of Duty, minimizing the disappointment of not having a campaign to play.
Is There Battle Royale in Modern Warfare?
However, you might be disappointed to hear that there is no battle royale mode in Modern Warfare, as of the game’s release.
You can play the Campaign, the classic multiplayer modes, and Spec Ops co-op missions with a friend.
The multiplayer modes are pretty sparse too, with nothing that could even be considered close to a battle royale experience. You don’t even get much freedom with what mode you play, with fewer options being included than in past Call of Duty games.
