2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare marks the return of the franchises’ most beloved series. We’re expecting big things, then, both in terms of gameplay and performance, regardless of which platform it’s played on. Call of Duty Modern Warfare PS4 Pro & Xbox One Enhancements
The answer is yes, Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s performance has been given a boost on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
PlayStation confirmed the news in a recent blog post introducing Modern Warfare console bundles when it said the following:
“With the PlayStation 4 Pro, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans can look forward to a number of features to help bring the most photo-realistic environments in franchise history to life.
4K TV owners will appreciate 4K resolution using temporal anti-aliasing with dynamic up-sampling, while HD TV players will benefit from increased image clarity through super-sampling when playing on PS4 Pro, compared to PS4.
Lastly, players with HDR displays can enjoy grounded combat and fast-paced action with a high dynamic range color as well.”
As for Xbox One X, Microsoft has listed the game as Xbox One X Enhanced on its listing page for the game, mentioning both 4K UHD and HDR capability.
There’s no official confirmation of frame rate yet, but YouTube channel VG Tech did run its own performance analysis of the beta version back in September and found both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X held 55-60fps in all scenarios. You can check out the video here.
