How to Get Advanced Weapon Parts and What They Do in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Just like in Ghost Recon Wildlands, you’ll need to gather weapon parts to progress your guns so that they’ll match up against your enemy’s growing levels.

This resource can be found throughout the game, mostly via looting the corpses of the enemies you defeat.

When you loot enemies, there are five different tiers of weapons you can receive.

ColorTier
White Common
GreenUncommon
BlueRare
PurpleEpic
YellowSignature (Legendary)

Of all of those categories, only purple and yellow, epic and signature tiers, qualify as advanced weapons.

Since they are advanced weapons, they feature much higher stat values than the previous three tiers.

Keep in mind that advanced guns and parts are a much rarer earlier in the game, but become more readily available once enemies become more powerful.

Where to Find Parts

Once you have looted weapons from fallen enemies, head to the gunsmith and look through your inventory.

Inside, locate any epic or signature weapons you’ve looted and are fine with parting with, and hold down the Dismantle icon in your inventory.

Doing so will net you advanced weapon parts. Look at your inventory and you’ll see the parts.

These items can be used in order to create weapons from blueprints that you’ll find throughout the world and on missions.

Time needed: 10 minutes

In short, follow these steps to get advanced weapon parts:

  1. Defeat higher level enemies.

  2. Loot purple or yellow tear weapons.

  3. Go to the Gunsmith and Dismantle purple and yellow tier loot.

  4. Check inventory for Advanced Weapon Parts.

That is everything you need to know about how to get Advanced Weapon Parts in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. For any other helpful tips about weapons, leveling up, or basic stuff, be sure to check out our Ghost Recon Breakpoint guide wiki.
