Surge 2: How to Get More Blueprints

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

A solid defense is just as important as a powerful offense in The Surge 2, especially when taking on the game’s more difficult enemy types. To bolster yourself as much as possible you’ll need good armor, but it’s not always easy to come by. For that reason, you are far better off crafting it, but you’ll need blueprints to do that. Here’s how to get more blueprints.

How to Get More Blueprints in The Surge 2

Armor blueprints are not difficult to come by — you’ll just need to spend time farming them from different enemy types. They are obtained by engaging in combat and then targeting enemies’ limbs and hacking them off.

You’ll receive a certain blueprint depending on which limb you remove. For example, if you’re after better leg gear and you’ve identified an enemy that likely has the desired piece, simply battle that enemy and decapitate its legs using a finisher move.

If you’re after a chest piece, target that instead, and so and so forth…

You’ll know when you have received a blueprint as the game will alert you that you have picked one up.

How to Craft New Gear

From here it’s just a case of crafting the new gear, which can be done at various crafting stations located at medbays throughout the game. Obviously, you’ll need to make sure you have the correct amount of materials, too.

And that is all there is to know about how to get more blueprints in The Surge 2. For more useful information and guides on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
