Team Ninja showcased more of the anticipated sequel Nioh 2 today live from the Tokyo Game Show 2019 stage, with an intense boss fight highlighting some of the game’s new mechanics. Better still, we later learned that it won’t be long before the game’s open beta will launch and we’ll play it ourselves.
Indeed, Nioh 2’s open beta will go live on Nov. 1 and will run for 10 days, PlayStation announced via its social media channels. The test version of the game will be available for download from the PS Store during that time.
To tide you over until the beta begins, check out the extended gameplay presentation from TGS 2019 below. The conversation overtop is obviously in Japanese, but there’s plenty of on-screen action that’ll be of interest. Especially, the awesome boss fight and an in-depth look at co-operative gameplay.
Today’s new gameplay and the beta announcement follow on from yesterday’s Nioh 2 TGS 2019 presentation, which also showcased boss combat.
Last week, we learned lots more about Nioh 2’s gameplay, story, length, and new content courtesy of the game’s producer during a behind closed doors media scrum at TGS 2019, which Twinfinite attended.
