Former Bayonetta 2 Director Teases new Project With Concept Art

Former Bayonetta 2 director Yusuke Hashimoto, who left Platinum games last February, has posted a concept art image of an unannounced “original project” that he’s been working on.

As you can see from the Tweet, the artwork is by Tatsuya Yoshikawa. If you’re not familiar with the name, he’s previously worked on character designs for the Breath of Fire and Devil May Cry series.

Hashimoto’s only other director credit is Star Fox Zero but was involved with the development of several Resident Evil games, the original Devil May Cry, and Dino Crisis while working at Capcom many moons ago.

This is the first we’ve heard of the new game so there isn’t much to go on, but you can color us intrigued. Fingers crossed development continues smoothly and we’ll hear more concrete details sometime soon.

If you’ve been twiddling your thumbs waiting for news on Bayonetta 3, a brief comment made by Platinum Games provided a small update on its development progress last week.
